STRIGOI -HALLOWEEN MANI

Hola Chicas!

I don't know about you, but I'm so ready for Halloween! Fall is my favorite season, the change in temperature, the October moons, the beautiful rich and intense colors, the flavors oohhh.
So for today's look I wanted to use one of my favorite red shades and I thought it was perfect for a vampire inspired mani.

What I used:

  • Kleancolor "Bite Me"; base 2 coats.
  • OPI "Stainless Steel"; reverse stamping on coffin.
  • Mabelle black stamping polish.
  • Seche vite top coat.
  • Bundle Monster 402; coffin image.
  • Winstonia W221; fangs.
  • Pueen Celebrations Fireworks; wallpaper pattern.

Started off with Bite Me, which is a beautiful crimson red with red micro glitter, it just sparkles like crazy with daylight, one of those that you just can't help staring at. While letting the base dry I did reverse stamping for the fangs and coffin images. Once the base was fully dried I stamped the wallpaper pattern with black polish and on ring and index fingers placed the coffin and fang images, sealed with top coat and done. The look has a bit a of bite but it took me less than half hour to do it. So if you are planning on wearing something allusive on Halloween night this is a good option.

Hope you like it.
See you soon!

SIMPLICITY

Hola Chicas!

I needed a break from all the intricate and time consuming nail art I've been doing lately, but still wear some nice nails, so I whipped up this mani in less than 10 minutes.

What I used:

  • Rimmel London "Night before"; base 2 coats.
  • Color Club "Eternal beauty"; for stamping.
  • Bundle Monster Plate BM403
  • Seche vite top coat.
Mostly I wanted to show off one of my fav shades, which is Night Before, it's absolutely beautiful on it's own but it's like is meant to be with Eternal Beauty and the combo is just gorgeous.

I usually wear a mani for just 2 days but this one I left on until it started chipping. It was a fresh feeling to have something so simple on.
Hope you girls like it too and do your own version.
See you soon!

STAINED GLASS

Hola chicas!

I've been wanted to this kind of design ever since I ordered this plate and I think that the sole reason I bought it was because I imagined how a stained glass will look on my nails. I'm so in love with this plate, really really love it.

To create the look I used the advanced  (or reverse) stamping technique. It takes a while, specially if you are working with multiple stampers instead of a mat but it's totally worth it.

What I used:

  • Bissu "Profundidad Marina"
  • Bissu
  • Kleancolor "Gold"
  • Kleancolor "Metallic Green"
  • Mabelle black; stamping polish.
  • Seche vite top coat.
  • Plate Flowers 09 from aliexpress.

To color the design I mixed the polishes with a bit or clear polish to make them more translucent and give the stained glass effect, then applied using a fine nail art brush.

Like I said, it took me some time, but I was pleased with the end look, thou I always think my pictures never do justice to real life result. Oh well!

See you soon!

HALLOWEEN MANI - SLYTHERIN

Hola Chicas!

Is it too early to start doing Halloween manis? I know I wanted to start early as last year couldn't make but 2 or 3.
For today's look I wanted to use my HeHe Harry Potter plates, which I love but don't have much chance to play with.

What I used:

  • Barry M "Chai"; base 2 coats.
  • Kleancolor "Military Green"; 1 coat.
  • Hehe 033 & 036 stamping plates
  • Color Club "Perfect Molten"; stamping.
  • Color Club "Port-Folio"; stamping.
  • China Glaze " Grafitti Glitter".
  • Seche Vite top coat.

Started off with a coat of Barry M "Chai" on all fingers except ring finger, which has a coat of Military Green by Kleancolor, after letting that dry stamped with "Perfect Molten" and "Port-Folio" using plate 036 I alternated the colors and blend them with the scraper to give a shifting smoke effect.
For the accent nail put a coat of "Grafitti Glitter" and did reverse stamping with plate 033.

For a mani that started with no specific plan in mind I really love how it turned out but it's a shame my photo skills are null and can't show the real life result.

Hope you enjoyed. See you soon!

FALL LEAVES

Hola Chicas,

Today on the blog I have the first fall mani, I'm looking forward for the change of season and all the beautiful colors mother nature puts on display.
I have to say it came out a bit sloppy as I was too impatient and didn't wait long enough for one of the images to be ready before stamping and the colors smudge a bit.
The design is a very simple double stamping with some reverse stamping leaves with a matte finish to make it look more fall-sy.

What I used:

  • Kleancolor "Dark Cherry"; base 2 coats.
  • MoYou London Mother Nature 07 &14; stamping plates.
  • Mabelle in Black; stamping polish.
  • Kleancolor "Jazz Olive"; reverse stamping leaves.
  • Kleancolor "Gold Bright"; reverse stamping.
  • Color Club matte top coat.

Hope you like it.
See you soon!

VIVA MEXICO - MARIPOSA MONARCA

Hola Chicas!

Today I have a mani inspired by the wonderful and just as beautiful Mariposa Monarca or Monarch Butterfly, this little critter makes its annual journey to the Sanctuary in the state of Michoacan before heading back north to Canada.

What I used:

  • Kleancolor "Boogie Nights"; base, 2 coats.
  • Plate BM424 & Pueen SE04A
  • Mabelle black stamping polish
  • Kleancolor "White"; spots detail.
  • Seche Vite top coat.

The bundle monster plate was part of my untried pile, so I tackled that one :) I really liked this mani, shame it chipped in 2 days thanks to seche vite again.

Hope you enjoyed, see you soon!

GRADIENT HOLO FEATHERS

Hola Chicas!

Today's mani is a gradient that started as something completely different from the end result. I added the holo topcoat in my attempts to rescue something I really didn't like and it pay off. HOLO ALL THE THINGS!

What I used:

  • Color Club "Dancing Queen"; base 1 coat.
  • China Glaze "UV Meant to be"; gradient.
  • My own DIY franken polish; darker bit of the gradient.
  • Make up sponge.
  • Kleancolor "Holo  Blue"; top coat.
  • Moyou London Greek 08; stamping plate.
  • Mabelle black; stamping polish.
  • Seche Vite top coat.

Started off with "Dancing Queen" on all fingers, let that dry and using a make up sponge bit I dabbed the darker blue close to the cuticle and then "UV meant to be" blending it down the free edge. After it dried I wasn't too sure so I put on a layer of "Holo Blue" and it made everything better. Oh thank heavens for holo topcoats.
After all those layers dried went on to stamp and then final top coat. Sunlight is always best to appreciate the holo in all its glory.

This mani, as with all holos, is one of those that keep you staring at your nails and all people thinks there is something wrong with you, but who gives a fuck.

See you soon!

VIVA MEXICO - CACTUS MIX UP

Hola chicas!
September is now in full swing and that means I will be focusing on my VIVA MEXICO nail art, so excited:)
Today I have something rather simple, a mix up of suns, cacti and pyramids.

What I used:

  • Kleancolor "Coffee addict"; base 2 coats.
  • MDU "Papyrus"; stamping polish.
  • Plate D15 from Born Pretty Store.
  • Different color polishes that I mixed to paint over the stamping.
  • Small detail brush.
  • Seche Vite top coat.

Once stamped I mixed some polishes on a piece of plastic and painted over with a small detail brush just to add a bit of color and detailed little prickly pears on the cacti. I really like how it turned out.

See you soon!
